Donald Trump is putting together what might be one of the worst cabinets in U.S. history, possibly only rivaled by his 2016 lineup. For all his bluster about being anti-war and pro-working class, he’s stacking the deck with Wall Street cronies and war-hungry operatives. To the people who voted for him thinking he’d shake up the system: how does the betrayal taste?

Let’s not kid ourselves—Trump was never anti-war. He turned Obama’s drone campaign into a buffet of airstrikes, dropped the “Mother of All Bombs” for show, fantasized about stealing Syria’s oil, and assassinated a key figure fighting ISIS. That last move almost ignited World War III, avoided only because Iran decided not to retaliate. He said he wouldn’t have left Afghanistan, is itching to attack Mexico, and is hell-bent on funneling more cash to the Pentagon and Israeli military operations. If you still think this guy is anti-war you are the king of the idiots and I have a bridge to sell you.

And don’t expect anyone around him to check his worst impulses. Trump’s cabinet is filled with sycophants too spineless to disagree with him. Their main job is to rubber-stamp policies that gut the middle class while lavishing gifts on defense contractors and billionaires. If you’re not rich or connected, get ready to be screwed.

Oh, and let’s not forget Pam Bondi, one of Trump’s latest picks. This is the same woman who made sure Jeffrey Epstein got a free pass on sex trafficking charges by keeping files sealed. She also conveniently ignored Trump University’s fraud allegations after Trump’s foundation slipped her a donation.

The United States isn’t a democracy—it’s an oligarchy in a bad disguise. Anyone who supports these decisions should think hard about what they stand for.
