Instead, the Democrats, in their infinite wisdom, re-elect the same uninspired, overcoached operatives who led them into this debacle. It’s like a football team losing 42-0 and deciding the best path forward is to run the exact same playbook, all while blaming the fans for not cheering loud enough.

This is the Democratic establishment’s true genius: an instinct for self-destruction so finely tuned it’s almost impressive. Losing means they don’t have to risk doing anything bold—they can just wring their hands, fundraise off Republican extremism, and cling to the moral high ground. Winning, on the other hand, would require creativity and the kind of political ruthlessness they find distasteful. By doubling down on the same failed leaders, they aren’t just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic—they’re handing the wheel back to the very people who steered it into the iceberg.
