Bio

Luca Garonzi was born in 1973 in the province of Verona, IT, and still has the low-brow attitude to life of the provincial folks. Milo Manara and Gianni Burato, to whom he’ll be eternally grateful, were his godparents when he first published in VeronaInfedele, at 19. He then contributed to Il Messaggero dei Ragazzi, Il Piccolo Missionario, VeronaLive, il Vernacoliere, L'Ombroso and Inkroci.. His publications include: L’autunno Caldo di Penso Positivo and Un Anno Vissuto Perisolosamente (with R.Segala for PensoPositivo), Lucciole (self-published with Coop.Azalea), Social NetWalking (F.Arleo e M.Adamoli, self-published), La Terra Insonne (F.Arleo for LaGru), Le Figurine del Golf (for ArtColor), Festa d’Aprile (edited by L.Magliacano and T.Riverso, for Tempesta). He collaborated with the town councils of Verona, Bussolengo and San Martino Buonalbergo, with the local branch of the National Helthcare, the A.N.A. Association and with several graphic design studios, for the realization of marketing campaigns and specific logos. He has taken part in several exhibitions over the years: Mostra di Satira Politica (Forte dei Marmi, 2004, “Pino Zac” Memorial Prize), Mostra Acquaviva fumetti (2004, First Prize in the “Comics” section), SatirOffida, VeronaInfedele (Florence, Teatro Puccini). His daughter Alice was born in 2014, filling Luca’s life with a sense of accomplishment and with constant inspiratiion.
