Peace and War in the Philippines
New President Rodrigo Duterte is a very contradictory figure. The Good Duterte is aggressively pursuing peace talks in Oslo with communist leaders to end a long running insurgency. The Bad Duterte is encouraging the police and citizens to kill people who are suspected of crimes. This means that many people are getting killed without being given a chance to defend themselves in a court of law.
