Last week, Obama finally got around to announcing his "support" for gay marriage. As during the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster, Obama sat on his ass forever before bothering to speak up, with a day-late-dollar-short announcement that was tepid and lukewarm -- in other words, classic Obama.
After the announcement, the US media crapped its pants with excitement, as they could spend the next week avoiding all discussion of the economy, Afghanistan, and other important issues. It also finally gave the Romney and Obama Presidential campaigns something to disagree on.
