Jasper the Cat and the American Divide

Here is a Jasper the Cat cartoon I did on the political divides in the United States and American growing inability to dialogue with those of differing views.

This is dangerous for American representative democracy. American democracy can only work if people of different views can debate the issues and be willing to compromise and find common ground when the debate reaches an impasse.

I hate Trump, but I don't hate Trump supporters. But I don't know if it's possible to reach across the political divides and try to dialogue with Trumpists without it becoming an exercise in exasperation. I don't have any solutions for that.
