Donald Trump is safe!
Former president safe after gunshots at Trump International Golf Club in South Florida on Sunday. Here's what happened:
Secret Service spotted rifle: A Secret Service agent, who was several holes ahead of the former president, spotted a rifle barrel sticking out of a fence and "engaged" with the suspect.
Gunshots fired during golf game: Trump was moving between holes five and six at his golf course, the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, with donor Steve Witkoff when shots rang out. The course was immediately closed, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Sheriff alerted: Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said his office was alerted at 1:30 p.m. ET that the shots were fired by the U.S. Secret Service.
Witness sees man in bushes: A witness saw the suspect run from the bushes and took a photo of his vehicle that led to the man's apprehension, according to the Palm Beach County sheriff
