Rhetoric is increasing between the authorities of the North American state of Texas and the federal government in the midst of the current power struggle on the southern border.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott reacted by saying it would be a serious “political mistake” if President Joe Biden nationalized his state's National Guard as Democrats are calling for.
“This is the number one problem in America. Americans want a secure border. “If Joe Biden federalizes our National Guard, that would be the biggest political mistake that can be made, and that's why I think he won't do it,” Abbott told Fox News the day before.
