The Blocking of Bulatlat and 26 Philippine Alternative News Websites
The Duterte and the successor Marcos Philippine governments have blocked the websites of alternative news organization Bulatlat and 26 other alternative news outlets.
Since the attacks, Bulatlat has requested Qurium Media Foundation to investigate the incidents. Qurium handles the digital forensics of the media outlet, with its primary concerns being internet censorship, disinformation campaigns, DDoS attacks, and targeted phishing campaigns against media and human rights organizations.
After investigating press freedom in the Philippines, U.N. Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Opinion Irene Khan’s declared that website blocking of news organizations are a “direct form of censorship.”
Bulatlat site has been accessible after the local court granted its petition but the rest of the 26 sites are still censored.
Although there have been fewer violent attacks against journalists and media workers since President Bongbong Marcos became President, journalists still face harassment and red tagging.

Yes, Enrico. It's a sad situation. I hope things are o.k. in Italy.
Really sad...
