Leopold Maurer was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1969. He studied Sociology at Vienna University, before studying Painting and Graphic Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Since 1998 he has been a freelance artist, working on projects spanning animation, cartoons, comics and illustration.
