Zygmunt Zaradkiewicz

Born in 1951, Maków Mazowiecki, Poland.
Education: Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw. Diploma with distinction.
Debuts in the magazines “Poland” and “Szpilki” in 1972.
Director of the Museum of Caricature and Cartoon Art in Warsaw (2011 – 2014).
He has served on the juries of national and international cartoon competitions (Warsaw, Zielona Góra, Żyrardów, Poland; Kragujevac, Serbia; Gabrovo, Bulgaria; Istanbul, Turkey).
Initiator and organizer of international cartoon competitions:
“The Ball Is In Play” ( 2012), “The Great and the Little Warsaw” (2013).
Winner of over 60 awards in national and international competitions, among others:
Grand Prix – Festival of Good Humour, Gdansk (2007);
Grand Prix – International Cartoon Contest “The Big Boat of Humour”, Lodz (2008);
1st prize - International Cartoon Contest “ForProFor” (2008);
1st prize - “Dictatorship & Tolerance”, Berlin (2011);
Grand Prix – PortoCartoon World Festival, (2011);
1st Prize – International Zagreb Car Cartoon Exhibit 2017, Croatia
2nd Prize, 1st International Organ Donation Cartoon Contest, Ankara 2018, Turkey
3rd Prize, World Press Cartoon 2022, Portugal
