Ivan Mata

Donostia, 1979.
He studied at the Kunsthal (Irun) and Llotja (Barcelona) schools of arts and crafts.
In 2003 they began their first press assignments for magazines of the Prisa group. Since then he has mainly illustrated for El Diario Vasco, Grupo Prisa, El Correo, ABC, Colpisa and Diari de Tarragona.
In 2010 he published his first cartoon for a newspaper, with the ABC.
He has collaborated with publishers such as Anaya or Edelvives and since 2017 he has dedicated part of his time to creating his own stories with the intention of living from the story.
In 2021 he received the World Press Cartoon international award.
