Wafa Bassiouni is a Moroccan cartoonist and architect. Born in Marrakech on the 9th of July 1998, I started cartooning in 2020, and since then, I have been publishing my work on online magazines like ALMOKHTAZIL, and later on the weekly paper based newspaper AL AYAME. I am an alumna of both the Press Cartooning School, and the Women Cartooning Fellowship in Casablanca. My works have been exposed on many cartooning exhibitions around the country, and recently broadcasted on many local and arabian TV CHANNELS, especially on the Women Cartooning Days held in Casablanca in 2022, a press cartoons exhibition in which many moroccan female cartoonists presented their drawings about equality between men and women. I had the honor on this occasion to have my cartoon drawing showcased as the main poster and title of the exhibition.
