Venezuelan Democracy All Dressed Up With Nowhere to Go

Years ago in July during the Venezuelan elections, I portrayed the character of Venezuelan Democracy with a smile when it appeared that dictator Nicolás Maduro was finally going to be thrown out but changed her expression later in the week when it became clear that he'd strong-armed his way back in through a fraudulent election result. Unfortunately the world community failed to stand up to him. It's now November and the longsuffering people of Venezuela have resigned themselves to continue to struggle under his tyranny for another six year term.
