Sanctuary

In the USA, in a political move, the governor of Texas is sending immigrants in buses to New York and DC. Most immigrants are fleeing crime and poverty in Central and South America. According NYC, the shelter system houses 4900 asylum seekers, and is seeking thousands of additional hotel rooms to house expected new arrivals.
Even as New York City’s continues to keep its identity as the World’s Sanctuary, the current economic and housing crisis makes conditions difficult.
