The Rise of India

The G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia, was marked by the affirmation of shared hegemony between the United States and China at the geopolitical level. But, in the global economic context, as the outlook in Europe and Japan looks bleak, projections point to the rise of a new Asian power: India. Seen by Western leaders as a major stakeholder in the region, the world’s largest democracy took over the G20 presidency and will host the next leaders’ summit in 2023
