About a week ago I got a Facebook inbox message from someone (not a colleague) obviously pissed that my cartoon "Saudi Women" got first place in the recent "Art of Resistance" competition, which by the way was an honour to win.
According to them, my work "dumbed down the whole competition", the judges "made a mistake" and there were "heaps of better cartoons they could have chosen".
Maybe so.
A few years ago it may have killed me, but this time I couldn't care less.
So I sent back this cartoon and told him to Just Eat It.,
No reply as yet.
