Don't mention the A word
Malta remains one of the few countries in the world not to permit abortion at all stages. It is a subject that is not discussed on an official level and some politicians declare that "there is nothing to discuss". A prospective MEP candidate who declared that it is time Malta seriously discussed the issue started a social media war. My editor was not averse to publishing and the cartoon appeared in the Sunday Times of Malta on 10th March 2019.
