Dems Are Allergic to Winning
The Democrats seem allergic to winning. Kamala Harris, in her infinite wisdom, is pivoting right, desperate to court disillusioned Republicans while simultaneously turning her back on her base. And let’s be honest, Kamala is basically a ‘90s Republican, so this move just alienates her core supporters even more. You’ll never catch Republicans—whether it’s old-school Mitt Romney or the new MAGA crowd—doing anything to piss off their base. That’s a line they don’t cross.
There’s nothing you can do to get a significant number of Republicans to vote for you. But there are plenty of things you can do to energize the countless Democrats who are on the fence about showing up in November.
Instead, Harris is torpedoing her campaign by promising to bring Republicans into her administration as advisers. So now, who exactly are Democrats supposed to vote for? Republicans? If you vote Republican, you get Republicans. If you vote Democrat, apparently, you get some Republicans too. Who is actually swayed by this?
And for those still calling Kamala Harris and her corporate Democrat allies “communist”—please, spare us. Take a long walk off a short pier, preferably with pockets full of rocks. You’re not serious.

I don't think she's pivoting so far right that a significant number of supporters won't show up and vote. I think this strategy will benefit her more in the long run, because not only is her base still likely to vote for her for fear of Trump, but also because she needs to get the undecided voters on her side to win.
