Daphne and the Bay-Laurel Tree

A cartoon to mark the third month since Maltese Journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was assassinated. In Greek mythology Daphne transforms herself into the Bay Laurel Tree to rid herself of a molesting Apollo. The tree represents strength and courage. And here it depicts hope, as it grows out of the wreckage in which Daphne was murdered.
