This week, Iran became the chairman of the UN Human Rights Forum. The Social Forum, a conference dedicated to human rights issues, organized by the UN Human Rights Council was opened on Thursday. Human rights activists and several countries were outraged by the fact that Iran, whose ruling theocratic regime is itself responsible for a series of human rights violations, especially women's rights, was appointed as the chairman of this conference.
