ONE WAY TICKET TO HELL

On September 27, 2024, Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the group’s headquarters in southern Beirut. This attack was part of Israel’s ongoing efforts to weaken Hezbollah, which has been intensifying its rocket attacks on Israel, particularly during the conflict between Israel and Hamas. The strike represents a significant blow to Hezbollah and Iran’s regional influence, akin to the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani in 2020.

International reactions have been strong. U.S. President Joe Biden called Nasrallah’s death a “measure of justice” for the many victims of Hezbollah’s violence, expressing support for Israel’s right to defend itself against Iranian-backed militant groups.
