Domestic Workers

Overseas Filipino Workers and other immigrants who work as domestic workers in different countries are often not covered by the labor laws of the host countries.

This leaves immigrant domestic workers vulnerable to being exploited. Frequently the hosts take their passports to force them to stay and work extra hours, low pay and they frequently are victims of wage theft. In extreme cases, these domestic workers face physical abuse and sexual harassment.
