Another Step Towards WWIII
The Biden administration just handed Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian military the green light to use serious offensive weaponry against Russia, including long-range missiles—something they hadn’t dared to touch before. This move also opens the door for allies like the UK and France to pile on with their own heavy-duty weapons, a coordinated escalation that feels less like strategy and more like brinkmanship.
On paper, this might make sense. North Korea’s reportedly sending 10,000 soldiers to support Russia’s invasion, and maybe Biden thinks upping Ukraine’s arsenal will force Moscow to rethink its position at the negotiating table. But the downside? It risks kicking the war into overdrive, dragging the rest of the world into a nightmare scenario.
So why do this now? After turning it over, two explanations stick out. One: Biden’s in a race against time. If Trump takes office, he’s already promised to cut off aid to Ukraine, leaving Russia free to lock down the fifth of the country it’s already stolen—and maybe grab even more. Two: this is Biden’s parting gift to the military-industrial complex, which profits every time the U.S. deepens its involvement in this endless war. In fact, it’s probably both—a two-for-one deal that locks us in deeper while making it nearly impossible to pull out later.
Whatever Biden’s motives, this is a dangerous, reckless gamble that could bring the world one step closer to total chaos. And for what? A little leverage at a negotiation table that might not even exist? It’s a Hail Mary pass with global stakes—and we’re all stuck in the bleachers waiting for the fallout.
