Killing Suspects in the War on Drugs
New President Rodrigo Duterte promised to rid the Philippines of crime in 6 months. To help fulfill his promise, Duterte has encouraged the police and ordinary citizens to kill criminal suspects. This means that people who are only suspected of a crime are being killed without being given a chance to defend themselves in a court of law.
