Music for Peace
It would be nice to see the soldiers lay down their rifles, carefully lay down the bombs, open the score and "pick up" a violin, sitting next to each other, regardless if you are Russian or Ukrainian, if you fought until a moment before. Maybe they could play a one-act composition by Strauss, Friedenstag (Day of Peace), a misunderstood story set at the time of the Thirty Years' War, but of an openly pacifist character. It would be nice, yeah, at least for one night, and then who knows, maybe forever, because the power of music is also to spread peace.
