The head of the Argentine Football Association Claudio Tapia confirms a scheduled football friendly against Israel was cancelled due to threats on the lives of Barcelona forward Lionel Messi and other players if the match went ahead.
Tapia said the friendly would be rescheduled for a South American venue sometime after the upcoming World Cup.
