Make Oligarchy Great Again

The oligarchy is here. At least during Trump’s first term, he pretended to avoid conflicts of interest. Now, he’s openly making a $500 million deal with the government of Oman while president. Multiple tech billionaires have visited Mar-a-Lago to pay to play, giving him millions of dollars. He’s taking tens of millions from the Saudi government for using his golf courses—again, as a sitting president.

Trump’s choice for Treasury Secretary is a hedge fund CEO who wants to tax people’s earnings more heavily than capital gains, meaning teachers and workers would pay more in taxes than billionaires who profit off the stock market without lifting a finger. And they’re working to extend the Trump tax cuts, which overwhelmingly benefited the top 1%.

Trump is stacking his administration with more millionaires and billionaires than any other in history. Who do you think they’ll represent? This is class warfare—socialism for the rich and rugged individualism for the rest of us.

Trump is flaunting his untouchability. He’s been found guilty of crimes, and the judge sent him off with a wish for “Godspeed.” The Supreme Court has effectively said he can do anything and get away with it, as long as it’s labeled a “presidential act.” So, who is going to stop him?

Anyone who ever claimed Trump was for the working class should have their lips permanently glued shut.
