Justice is a Mob Boss

This is a yet another major scandal. Last week, seven Department of Justice (DOJ) officials resigned in protest (the largest DOJ walkout since Watergate) against Trump for using the DOJ as a weapon against New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The DOJ has put clear-cut charges against Adams on hold, and in exchange, Adams is expected to follow Trump’s demands.

Adams has a history of corruption and has openly ignored the law. Trump and his administration saw an opportunity and ordered the DOJ to freeze all charges against Adams—as long as he acts as Trump’s puppet in New York City. This is a clear example of how Trump operates, and it is deeply troubling. Justice is supposed to be blind. You can’t make corrupt deals to blackmail someone, especially not the mayor of the largest city in the country. There must be accountability and justice.

They aren’t even trying to hide it—Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, openly admitted on Fox News: “If he [Adams] doesn’t come through, I’ll be back in New York City, and we won’t be sitting on the couch. I’ll be in his office, up his butt, saying, ‘Where the hell is the agreement we came to?’”
