Innocent Civilians Drowning In Blood
In Gaza, Ukraine and Sudan, various groups have targeted defenseless civilian populations in their fight against their enemies. This has led to a blood bath against Israeli hostages, Palestinian civilians in Gaza, Ukrainian civilians and ethnic Massalit and non-Arab Sudanese communities.
I basically agree with the point filmmaker Jonathan Glazer was trying to make in his Oscars speech about the dangers of dehumanization. When an autocrat or demagogue dehumanizes a group of people, this enables the autocrat to do cruel and inhumane to that vulnerable group.
This dehumanization motivated Yahya Sinwar and Hamas to rape, kill and kidnap innocent Israeli civilians.
This dehumanization allows Benjamin Netanyahu to indiscriminately bomb the defenseless civilian Palestinian population in Gaza.
This dehumanization allows Vladmir Putin to invade and bomb a defenseless Ukrainian population.
This dehumanization gives an excuse for Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo and paramilitary groups to rape and murder Black ethnic groups in Sudan.
