Some people base their whole life's work on an assumption.
Take 9/11 for instance.
The ghosts of that day have been in my head ever since. I couldn't shake them for a long time, and a lot of my early work vented on orthodox Islam and Al-Qaeda for its supposed role in the atrocity.
But after nearly 17 years, I'm not so sure anymore. The countless YouTube videos with endless rabbit holes promising to lead to a government conspiracy haven't helped much either.
I seek closure, but I'm scared that the truth will be even more damaging than not knowing at all.
