The Continuing Slaughter of Innocents

The story of Mary, Joseph and Jesus in the beginning of the Gospel of Matthew is of a young refugee family escaping the threat of the murderous autocrat Herod who ordered the slaughter of young children.

A November 30, 2024 article by Thaddeus Jones for Vatican News quotes Chris Sidoti, an international human rights attorney and a commissioner with the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, as saying that over 13,000 Palestinian children have been killed so far in Gaza.

What Hamas did on October 7, 2023 was horrific.

What Netanyahu has done in retaliation is far worse.
