In Mexico, wind farms only grant 1 percent and not 4 percent, as in other countries, of direct profits to farmers who agreed to rent their land. In addition to having signed unclear contracts with few benefits, over the years the companies have transferred the wind farms and in these new arrangements the residents are not included, and in some cases, stripping them of their land.
